Chief Pontiac...Yesterday John and I went to the Woodward Dream Cruise. This little beauty caught my eye but it's Amber Hood Ornament, in my opinion, was the best part. It was attached to a 1950 Pontiac 2 dr Chieftain. The amber lights up when the headlights are on. It was available as an option on all models.

I want to thank all of you so much for your response to my "Early Morning Fog" picture that I posted yesterday. I am overwhelmed by all of the wonderful comments. I knew that I liked it when I first loaded it into my computer. Now I like it more...thanks again.

Power...
This 14 yr old was making a two handed touch and turn in his IM (individual medley) for the summer park swim team prelims yesterday morning...He will go for the gold in the finals tonight. Oh yeh, I forgot to mention that he is my grandson Matt.

Moving Right Along...Halloween was here and gone and it is time to start thinking about pictures to use with our Christmas cards...The Grandboys were over yesterday to help Grandpa and me with all the leaves in the backyard. It was jumping time and I was able to settle them down for a few quick pictures with Libby. This was my favorite of the bunch and top on my list for the Christmas card---so far.

Estes Lake reflecting the Rocky Mountains in the background. Today we drove from Estes Park to Vail, Co. via the Trail Ridge Rd. It was an amazing drive through the mountains. We saw a moose and several herds of elk.

Barn Kitten...This little guy kept an eye on us as we wandered through his barn. He never approached any of us, but was very curious.

$Sept 27, 2009 Maroon Bells...The Maroon Bells is a mountain in the Elk Mountains. It consiste of 2 peaks the South Maroon Peak and the North Maroon Peak separated by about 1/3 mile. They are both over 14,000 ft. and located about 12 miles southwest of Aspen, Colorado. They got the name The Deadly Bells in 1965 when 8 people died in five separate accidents. They are composed of a metamorphic sedimentary mudstone which is weak and fractures easily making it dangerous to try to climb.$
